John Lisney, the Founder   Backround John Lisney trained with the BBC as a direct entry engineer. He left the BBC to set up the School of Television and Broadcasting at Ravensboune College, leading the team that was to establish that college as a household name in the UK Professional Broadcast field. In 1995 John set up an independent consultancy to provide engineering consultation and training to the broadcasting industry. John has authored numerous well known courses on topics such as Operational Technology, Broadcast Engineering Principles, DVTR, Digital Audio and Video Measurements, MPEG compression etc.. His consultancy work has taken him all over Britain and Ireland as well as overseas to Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Brunei, Iceland, South Africa and many others. Experience In the UK, his company client base includes, British Sky Broadcasting, ONDigital, Pearson Television, Ministry of Defence, NTL, 4MC, Wizja TV, QVC and numerous others. The Present Currently John Lisney Associates is conducting major bespoke training schemes for BSkyB, Astro Malaysia, Ministry of Defence and the Liberty Media Group, as well as conducting an ongoing programme of scheduled short courses at their London venue in Russell Square. • Return to Main Menu
